Where it all starts!

Lee's Catfish Farm

Welcome to our farm! We are a second-generation family farm located in east central Mississippi in the heart of the black belt prairie land.  Our family history includes dairy, hog, catfish, corn and soybean farming.  The heavy clay soil of the prairie and our warm temperatures make this area a prime catfish producing area.  We have enjoyed raising catfish for 30+ years.  We value highly having been raised on the farm and it has been a wonderful settling  to raise our children.  We are thankful for the broad range of training and experience.  We hope this will be a place our children can raise their children.

As you may know, agriculture has been shifting away from the family farm to a vertically integrated model. Catfish farming is experiencing this same challenge.  The processing plants have moved more and more to having their own ponds.  This has created challenges of sustainability for us as independent producers.  Therefore, we have been looking for direct marketing opportunities to go from our farm direct to the consumer.  This search led us to the raw pet food market.  We feel we have an excellent opportunity to offer you a healthy, sustainable, consistent, affordable  product that pets love.  By including the whole fish, our fish burger contains organs, bones for calcium and the meat of the fillet for protein.  These fish are fed a completely balanced diet, raised in an oxygen-controlled environment making for healthy, wholesome fish.  Not scavenging the bottom for what they can find.  You can visit our farm by clicking on the link below to take a tour. Our goal is to be your friend, build long lasting relationships, and go directly from our pond to your pup, dog or kitten.
